Join us in this soulful journey of yoga and self reclamation, designed for the modern woman. Dive into the full spectrum of yoga, with an integrated exploration of asana, mantra, pranayama, philosophy, mudra, meditation, ayurveda and mythology; woven through with the soul shaping practices of the divine feminine.
Curate and create a sustainable and nourishing spiritual practice (sadhana), to guide, inspire and empower you throughout your life. Expect your body to thrive, and your soul to flourish.
This immersion is a stand alone course, the hours may be used toward Yoga Alliance accredited Continuing Education.
The Immersion Curriculum
We will meet one weekend a month, for five months, from February 2018 until June 2018 Weekend hours are as follows:

Together, Chantal and Rebekka share over 25 years of experience as teachers and students of yoga.
Chantal is is a Yoga Alliance Certified E-RYT 500 and one of of the founders and co-owners of Bowen Island Yoga. She has been practicing yoga for over a decade, and has been teaching since 2005. In 2007, she graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Toronto, and has since taught yoga and inspired living in Canada's top studios. Chantal is currently on the faculty at the Vancouver School of Yoga, oversees the yoga and nutrition programs at the Orchard Recovery Centre, and is the studio director at Bowen Island Yoga. Rebekka is a Yoga Alliance Certified E-RYT 500 with a background in Iyengar, Vinyasa, Restorative, Anusara Yoga, & over 2000 hours of teacher training in these methods. Her lifelong study and exploration of tantric and buddhist philosophy, Ayurverda, holistic healing and therapeutic bio-mechanics, has led Rebekka to develop and teach yoga and yoga therapy programs worldwide. Guiding students to share the wisdom of yoga with clarity, joy, and exquisite precision has been her passion for over 15 years. Trisha Wilson, a yoga teacher since 2005, creates a safe space in which to learn, play, heal and grow. Her classes combine technique and alignment with celebration of heart and spirit. Her practice is a balance of strength and softness; discipline and delight; contemplation and creative expression. Committed to the yogic path as sacred activism, she infuses her classes with inspiration for inner peace and a harmonious world.
Christine Price Clark began studying yoga in New York City in 2001 and is a former certified Anusara® yoga teacher. Christine’s classes are an artful blend of strong, rhythmic asana and purposeful, creative sequencing; all in a fiercely loving atmosphere. Her teaching reflects a deep embrace of the heart and a playful delight for the body.
Natalie Rousseau has been teaching throughout British Columbia since 2002 and now specializes in mentoring, yogic lifestyle coaching, and teacher training. She is a faculty member at the Vancouver School of Yoga, and is known for her deep knowledge and skilful articulation in the realms of ayurveda, earth base spirituality, herbal medicine, whole food nutrition, mythology and the written word.
Lila Rasa Brown is known as a teachers’ teacher, and one of her greatest joys is to guide her students into a space of radical transformation, empowering them to truly embody their own potential as students and teachers of yoga. The practice of yoga, meditation, and evolutionary astrology have led her to what is clearly her calling – helping others to awaken their own authentic nature and find freedom in body, mind and spirit. Lila is the lead teacher and Creative Director at The Vancouver School of Yoga.
This 100 hour program is a stand alone course that may be used as continuing education hours for Yoga Alliance Registered teachers.

This immersion is for anyone wanting to learn more about yoga, and for those who want to create a practical and personalized spiritual practice, founded on the teachings of yoga. It is for beginning and experienced yoga practitioners wanting to deepen their practice; for those wanting to become yoga teachers, and for existing yoga teachers wanting to become students again, and stay inspired.
Who is it not for?
This is not for those who are fully realized and live in perpetual states of bliss. It is not suited for people who want to hold on to limiting beliefs and stay stuck in unhealthy patterns.

Do I have to sign up for every session or can I drop in to certain weekends?
As this is a holistic and progressive program, it is required to take all 6 modules.
What if I have to miss a weekend? Do I still have to pay for it?
Since the program is is designed as an integrated course divided into 6 modules, the full payment is due upon registration or one month prior to the completion of the course, if you opt for our payment plan.
I don't have any yoga experience. Can I still participate?
Yes! This program is a great introduction into the philosophy, history, purpose and benefits of yoga. Its a great place to start if you're curious about creating your own spiritual practice, founded on the teachings of yoga. A wonderful foundation to a lifelong practice.
I have an old injury. Can this help me?
Through this program, you will learn correct anatomical movement, alignment principles and therapeutic applications that will help heal your physical body. You will also come to know the many other aspects of yoga (beyond postures and poses) that may even help get to the root of your suffering.
I've done teacher trainings before, can this program still benefit me?
The best teachers of yoga are also the best students. Our highly qualified team of teachers bring with them diverse skills and life experience that will enrich your understanding, and offer relevant and practical ways of living your yoga. Whether you are a burnt out yogi needing a little rejuvenation of your own, or simply seeking inspiration for your classes, this immersion is ideal for teachers wanting to be students again.
All hours go towards Continuing Education Training Hours with the Yoga Alliance.
How do I get to Bowen Island and where can I stay?
Bowen Island is a quick 20 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. It is accessible by public transit from downtown Vancouver, and takes about an hour from the city's centre. There is also a water taxi that departs daily from Granville Island and Coal Harbour.
We will also be offering "couch surfing", hosted by local Bowenian Yogis with a couch or guest bed to spare. Please email Chantal if you're interested in being hosted by a local yogi.
Lastly, we have scheduled the program in a such a way that it's possible to commute from Vancouver daily.
Please give it some thought and make space in your life to invest into this program fully. In the event that life circumstances prohibit you from continuing the program before it commences, you will receive a partial refund (minus the administrative costs). After the program begins, there are no refunds or cancellations.
