No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.

Welcome to Bowen Island Yoga

We are dedicated to creating a loving hub; a gathering place of convergence and connection. Through yoga and meditation, inquiry and conversation, we are passionate about bringing people together and believe well-being is a lifestyle, rooted in nature and community.

Often described as a healing sanctuary, the majestic nature and rejuvenating ocean air that permeate Bowen Island are both grounding and invigorating. Our beautiful studio is located in  vibrant Artisan Square, surrounded by breath-taking ocean and mountain views, art galleries, stylish boutiques and delicious cafés.

With weekly yoga and meditation classes, monthly workshops and retreats, we invite you to deepen your breath, move your body, clear your mind and re-energize your life.

New ownership & vision

We are beyond pleased to announce that the Yoga Coop in Artisan Square is transitioning to a new model that we are certain will suit the needs of Bowen Islanders better (based on your own input—thank you to all of those who filled our our survey).

We have re-opened this summer in a new space, and under the management of a team of three entrepreneurial Bowen women who have long been dedicated to the path of yoga, in its many and various forms. Chantal Russell, Saskia Tait of the New Earth Institute, and Rebecca Bizzarri-Gibbs of Artigiani Milanesi have joined forces to (re)form the Bowen Island Yoga & Holistic Living studio.

Our vision is to create a sacred, and beautiful space for the practice not only of the postural traditions of yoga that we all have come to know and love, but also for the gathering of community interested in somatic, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual evolution as informed by the many great contemplative wisdom traditions and pathways. We want to support YOUR practice to start and mature within the context of a vibrant community of practitioners that can support one another. We also want to provide a space to for community workshops and events, including a "Bowen Speaks" speaker series this fall, documentary film screenings, educational programming and more.

Come and explore our full spectrum class schedule, with styles for all ages and levels—now all accessible under a single 5- or 10-class pass so that you can sample different teachers and class styles, as well as make your practice fit into your schedule. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter so that you hear about new community events and programs being hosted at the studio.
