A gong bath is a special all night event when the gong is played throughout the night as you sleep. The gong produces multiple overtones and vibrations to bring a deep sense of peace and well-being. Join us for a restful night of healing vibrations through the meditative power of the gong.
We will start at 8pm with yoga and a short meditation in honour of the full moon to get us centered and prepared for the evening. Next we will set up our sleeping areas and relax into a state of bliss (around 830pm). A gong bath held during a full moon amplifies the healing power of the gong so you can absorb the sound current at the deepest cellular and emotional levels.
After a restful evening, we will transition to early morning kundalini yoga (Aquarian Sadhana) and kirtan (singing or listening to the sound current) to nourish the soul (around 430am). During these early hours, cleansing can occur more easily bringing maximum benefits from the practice. Yogi Bhajan said: “The greatest reward of doing (Aquarian) sadhana is that the person becomes incapable of being defeated. Sadhana is a self-victory, and it is a victory over time and space. Getting up is a victory over time, and doing it is a victory over space. That is what sadhana is”. This is a beautiful, uplifting, and energizing early morning practice but sometimes people drift back to sleep, not to worry if this happens, the group consciousness will surround you and uplift you. We will finish around 7am and offer chai tea and a light breakfast to help ground the group before starting our day.
